John is the Corporate Development lead for Tocaro Blue and runs point on Corporate Strategy, Corporate Finance, and Strategic Partnerships.

In addition to his work at Tocaro, John serves as the Managing Partner of Minor Capital where he has led over $10M in seed-stage fundraising rounds, as well as the Chairman of PlacardPass, a supply chain tech SaaS company that builds automated compliance tools for freight transportation. Prior to founding Minor Capital and PlacardPass, John co-founded and served as President & CEO of FACTOR, Inc., a risk engineering technology firm based in Nashville, TN. Originally from Birmingham, AL, John received a Master’s in Engineering from Vanderbilt University.

After stints in Nashville, Washington D.C. and San Francisco, John now resides in Tampa, Florida, where he enjoys unprecedented access to some of the most beautiful coastline in the United States. He looks forward to exploring the regional waterways with the assistance of Tocaro Blue’s industry-leading tracking, monitoring, and navigational technologies.
