How Does It Work?

Unlock the potential of your Radar and navigate confidently with the Proteus Hub device for your boat. The Proteus Hub integrates with your existing Radar and MFD, leveraging Artificial Intelligence to keep you safe with real-time collision warnings and active depth remapping. Radar
Proteus uses AI Radar Vision to display Radar returns as real objects in both 2D and 3D, making collision avoidance easier.

Depth Transducer
Proteus connects to your depth transducer via NMEA2000 and updates NOAA maps with real-time depth information. The Proteus Hub has a cellular connection for sharing updated depth data with other vessels.

VHF Radio AIS
Your VHF contains important information that Proteus can use to improve the 3D display. Connect Proteus to your VHF Radio with NMEA2000 to access detailed information about AIS vessels on screen. While AIS is not necessary for the Proteus Hub to function, it does provide valuable additional information at the helm. With AIS, vessels will be displayed in 3D, making it easier to distinguish between different types such as tugs, barges, and cargo ships.

Compass & GPS
Proteus uses data from your vessel’s GPS and Compass to predict your location and display potential collisions. It provides alerts based on user set thresholds to notify you of possible hazards. With the Proteus Hub, you get actionable information using machine learning and sensor fusion technology at the helm.

Multiple View Options
The Proteus Display offers various viewing options, providing total awareness of your surroundings and easy recognition of other vessels using Radar vision. Toggle between 2D Overhead Map view and multiple 3D Display views to find the right fit for you. No need to interpret charts and Radar screens anymore.
