Tocaro Blue family,<\/p>\n
In this update, I wanted to discuss modernization. In the military, it is affectionately referred to as RDT&E (Research, Development, Testing & Evaluation). Since the idea for Tocaro Blue first took shape, one of our core tenants has been aggressive RDT&E. This includes implementing new and groundbreaking technologies that will take our capabilities to previously un-imagined levels. We\u2019ve got several ongoing game-changing developments, and over the next few updates, I will explain some of them and how they apply to you. I\u2019m going to start on the software side (App), where we have several developments and improvements:<\/p>\n
The Map View Function:<\/strong> This App function is accessed through the \u201chamburger menu\u201d in the top left of your home screen. Once clicked, this will show your boat in a geographic region (vice at the local level). If you have several boats being monitored by Tocaro Blue \u2013 this view will show the location of all of them. Clicking on the individual icon will bring that specific vessel\u2019s information up.<\/p>\n The Bread Crumb Trail:<\/strong> This App function is visible when you click on the map location of your boat. This historical trail goes back 7 days \u2013 the more recent, the darker the line. The functionality will include On\/Off\/Erase.<\/p>\n Alert Parameter Entry:<\/strong> We are modifying our sliding numerical input (left\/right = decrease\/increase) to a more conventional and precise process \u2013 simply enter the high\/low limits via keypad.<\/p>\n The Emergency Flare:<\/strong> Part of our efforts to improve boating safety and contingency response. This App function will be located under the Emergency Tab. When activated, it will send alerts to all personnel authorized to view the vessel. This alert can also be combined with our \u201cWhite Glove\u201d service to help manage the onboard contingency.<\/p>\n For the next issue we\u2019ll explore Fleet Management<\/strong> and Marina Support<\/strong>.<\/p>\n I hope the summer is treating you well and that you are using your boats to maximum effect \u2013 because a bad day on the water beats a good day in the office!<\/p>\n Regards,
